THE MANHATTAN
One of the most famous cocktails that is as popular today as it was during its inception back in the 19th Century. A tasty mix of Rye, Sweet Vermouth and Bitters, it is the epitome of what a cocktail should be. Originally made with Rye that gives it a spicier edge, you could make a mellower drink by replacing it with Bourbon. Use a Scotch of choice instead and you change the name and the flavour profile of this classic.
